Our Mission

Every family raising a child with a neurodivergent condition deserves to feel informed and heard by the systems meant to serve them (schools, community organizations, etc.). However, too often, the families who need the most support have access to the fewest resources, especially across Tennessee, where rural schools are limited by thin staff and specialists. This leaves parents to decode legal documents on their own, and children whose needs go unmet because no one had the tools to help and understand each step of the way.

This resource hub was developed to close that gap. Developed in partnership with the L.B.J & C. Head Start organization, schools across Middle Tennessee, and numerous family interviews, this hub brings together easy-to-understand tools for parents and caregivers. The hub features plain-language explanations of special education terms, templates for advocating in IEP meetings, as well as guidance on accessing services close to home. The goal isn't simply to hand families information- it is to make that information understandable and useable, so they can turn it into real support inside classrooms, homes, and communities.
